Banzai Pipeline and Hale’iwa

Welcome to Part 2 of 3, from our northshore Oahu adventure…

Where we head out, in hunt of all the legendary northshore surf beaches.  This lovely photo was our first site of Pipeline.

On the road, first things first, we find the perfect northshore breakfast spot, Ted’s Bakery

Everything they make at Ted’s tastes good…and the funky old vibe near Sunset Beach just adds to the flavor.

We stop at ‘Ehukai Beach Park…known for its as famed big wave surfbreak, the Bansai Pipeline.

The boys begin building one of their typical sand fortresses, when…

A rather large wave wipes out their kingdom…

And the next wave gives Max a fun ride…washing him about fifteen feet up onto the shore like a little piece of driftwood.

I’m thinking he enjoyed the ride.

Moving on from our Pipeline fun, we pass through scenic Waimea Bay and then we come upon historic and quaint Hale’iwa Town.

Where a little shopping therapy moved over for a fun lunch at Cholos Mexican Restuarant, muy beuno.

The northshore of Oahu revolves around surf…with amazing beach after beach, and surf break, after surf break.

Northshore here reminds us of our tiny surf town of Hanalei, but on steroids!

Stay tuned..

Part 3 of 3 coming soon!

I know this is totally besides the point, but that chocolate cream pie on the Ted’s Bakery sign sounds really good!

I love your photos! Looks like everyone had tons of fun.

Very observant Ashley…Ted’s original chocolate-haupia pie was my birthday cake this year :)
