One of my favorite new year day traditions is waking up to the Tournament of Roses Parade (on HGTV completely commercial free). This year it happened on the second day of the year. Extending the end of the holidays by one more day. Yay!
I am watching the parade with Max. Explaining to him that one day we hope to go watch the parade in person. Although it is taking over his morning cartoons. He is actually beginning to enjoy it, because he finds it interesting that each float is covered entirely of flowers and organic materials. Oh, and that they actually made floats with things like the USS Enterprise from Star Trek, Power Rangers Samurai, and Surfing Dogs.

What beautiful So. Cal. day for a parade I want to go see that one day too in person.
It is actually warmer in Pasadena today than Kauai. We will marvel at those floats in person one day!
