Big Daddy arrives

Green Car Hawaii

Our holiday weekend kicked off with Big Daddy (Michael’s dad) and Luci (Big Daddy’s girlfriend) flying in from Las Vegas.  Those clothes they flew in wearing didn’t last long, the stripping commenced once they arrived at our hale (home in Hawaiian).

They arrived from Kauai’s, Lihue Airport in style and in green form, via Green Car Hawaii.  With gas prices on Kauai currently around $4.50 per gallon, green cars seem more of a fit here than anywhere.

I think this local company has its pulse on the future of rental cars.  Maybe next time your on Kauai, you might try going green.  It will make you feel environmentally good inside.

Bubba's Kauai

Big Daddy lost the cold weather clothes, put on the shorts and slippahs, and we all headed to Hanalei for Bubba’s Burgers.  (Does Big Daddy look happy to be here?)

Max is always entertained by reading the stickers and signs that fill the walls inside Bubba’s Burgers, Hanalei. This small local burger joint, is a famous, must stop when on Kauai.

Bubba’s exudes a sense of humor and local attitude.  Along with tasty burgers made with local, Kauai grass fed beef…and Max says their vanilla shakes rock.

It is always such a pleasure to watch as our guests begin to unwind from the mainland, and settle into our laid back island style.  No worries, just relax and soak it all in.

E komo mai (welcome in Hawaiian) Big Daddy and Luci.  We are so happy to have you with us!

I love Bubba’s Burgers! They will also make a grilled cheese with their toasty buns if you prefer no meat and you can always add some yummy grilled onions. I love the idea of a green rental car. Sweet ride too!
